- It was easier to be a reporter in "the old days." Do you agree? Why/Why not?
1.I don't agree with this opinion. For one thing, I think we should respect the death people. For another thing, human don't have the right to brother others' privacy.
2. I agree. Because old reporters don't have to find the privacy thing and report it. So I think it will be a kind job.

- How do you think "untruth and consequences" is related to Richard's case?
- How do you think the media's scrutiny affected Richard's daily life?
1.Reporting a un-checking thing base on the view point of the reporter is a rude thing for people. In this case, the untruth reporting destoryes Richard's ordinary life. This is what sorry can't recover.
2.Due to the media's report, Richard left a suspect view on the poeple whether they know he before or not. This may be a huge effect, because whenever he walks on the road, he will guess whether the walker is suspected he or not.

- Imagine you are Diane Schuur. Write a letter to Helen Keller.
- Compare the lives of Frank McCourt and Diane Schuur.
1.Dear Hellen Keller,
I am a blind people who have the same obstacle with you. Due to your hard-working on the education of people with cretain obsatcle, I have a chance to find out my ability on sing. I want to show my thankness to you, and hoping you may know how huge the effect to such people like us.
2.They both encounter some obstacle during their life. Frank faced economic obstacle and finally know that is not a shameful past in his life. Diane has a physcial obstacle and overcame it to be a perfect singer.

1.I think they should be responsible for their daughter's death. Beause they shouldn't cut the chance for Amy's survive.
2.They both don't take medine treatment. But Norman made the choice on his own while Amy's parent decided for her. Finally Norman lived but Amy died.

1. Dear Helen, I’m a blind and deaf woman as well as you. I am a beneficiary of your work. Because of your example, I had the courage to go back into the school for the blind. Eventually, I was a jazz singer. Without you, I must just a blind and deaf people.
2. Schuur has the physical obstacle. And McCourt has the economic problem. But eventually, they both overcame the obstacle in their live and be a good example who defeat their obstacle for people.

2. Both of them don’t take medicine and have the positive attitude. But the ending is different. Amy is dead but Norman is lived.

1.I don't agree.I think everyone has his or her privacy even if he or she dies. Without allowing, others don't have the right to all the details. People always want to leave good reputation after dying.
2.Yes,I do. Because the reporters don't have to find a lot of other's privacy and report it. So I think it must be an easier job than now. In addition, they are not always hated by people in modern time.
