I want to know how to pass GEPT(全民英檢中高級). I don't know what book I need study.

ReplyDeleteThank you for bringing up another important topic for almost all freshmen at nchu.
To prepare for GEPT,
I suggest you check on "www.gept.org.tw" for detailed info about the test first.
After that,
try "http://www.gept.org.tw/download/download-3.htm" (Remember 考題預試? This is it again!)
and try to take one or two mock tests, so that you know what exactly you will be tested on in a typical GEPT.
Figure out what's your weakest part and work on it. And that's when you decide on what to read for test preparation.

While Taiwan students had made through all those numerous tests and exames from elementary school to high school,finally got in to a college.The one thing most of us could think of is how to have fun and relax. But why it is different in Europe countries or the US? What makes it so distinct from each othe?Wich on is better?Is there any problem in our education system?Expecting figure out more informations in class. 宇亮
ReplyDeleteI know that I have the problem to communicate with others in English due to the short of vocabulary hunting. Perhaps these topics have some words that I haven't seen. With the discussion, learning these words may raise my English ability up.
ReplyDeleteI feel quite interested in unit 7 which is about education. I'm especially curious about homeschooling which seems to be unfamiliar to most of us in Taiwan. Why do people choose homeschool? I think maybe they are unable to go to school because they are suffering from physical or mental problem. It also can be possible that they live in somewhere far away from school.

I don't know what's the different between GEPT and TOEIC. Maybe I will prepare for TOEIC in this semester, because GEPT doesn't admit in the world. How should I prepare for TOEIC? Is there any resource which I can use on the Internet? I often saw many things about GEPT but few things about TOEIC. If I wrote with wrong grammar, please correct me. Thank you very much!

I'm interested in philanthropy, because my mother always watches Da Ai(大愛電視台), and I also watch it with her when I'm at home. It is so amazing that 證嚴法師 has such a great power to do such a great thing！ She is so kind that many people volunteer for helping someone who is in need. I adore her for spreading love around the world. 黃亭瑤
ReplyDeleteWhen somebody mention philanthropy, the first word comes to my mind always is 慈濟. The place which was under disaster, then those people must be there at the right time. From 921 earthquake to 88 flood. They really do a good job.
ReplyDeleteIn this semester, I think I can try to accomplish the standard of English ability. When I become a sophomore, I won't have English course. So this semester may be greatest chance to finish it.
